PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Cynthia contracted my services in August 2019 to rebuild the WordPress website I built for her in 2012 so that it could be viewed on mobile devices and feature her new blog on the home page. In our first two 90 minute sessions we deleted any dated post and pages, selected the theme from 25 examples I sent her (called Simple Article by GoodLayers) and roughed in the layout. Between our second and third session, I framed in the website with dummy text and images for the first three blog posts. In our last session, I showed her how to swamp out the dummy text and images with her own. FEE: $1500, same price she paid for the 2012 website She's a joy to work with. Smart, funny, thoughtful with a keen sense of design and loves working with words as much as I do.

Marilyn helped me once again—this time with an overhaul of the website she built for me in 2012. I needed my blog to be the most prominent feature. I needed a cleaner, more modern look. It didn’t take Marilyn long to get things set up in the WordPress theme I chose. She totally understood what I was looking for, and it was fun to see my new site take shape. Thanks to her instruction, I quickly learned how to navigate the “dashboard” and am ready to manage the content. It was a delight to work with Marilyn once again and have her create my new online home.

Other Client Testimonials

Don’t take my word for it – here’s what my clients say:

The workshop offered a solid grounding in the development of our company blog. As a result of the things I learned at the Blogging for Business Workshop I am better prepared to have an intelligent discussion on the development and launch of our company blog.

I learned a lot at your website workshop last week and I now know where to go from here. I learned that WordPress as the best solution for our needs and why. We have since repatriated our passwords and now have access to the server. I have registered the domain for the second site we want to build for the women’s choir. I’m waiting for the board to approve my plans for the two websites. And, I now know what to do and where to go from here as a result of taking your workshop.

I designed this blog and have been publishing it online since 2011. It is the evolution of the print magazine I founded, edited, published and sold all the ads so that it broke even with the first issue. Not wanting to just break even, I concluded it would be wise to publish the magazine online.

I rebuilt Cynthia’s website , added a blog feature on the home page and  designed her new logo in August 2019. She’s dooing a lot of travelling now and wants to have a home for her writing after regaling her Facebook followers with interesting posts about this history of where she visits along with stunning photos.

I  I launched this website four years ago as a way to promote subscriber’s media releases online and be  able to easily share them on Facebook and Twitter. You’ll note it looks a lot like the medfiamag blog. That’s because I used the same tiheme and layout. to save time and money.
